In summary there will be fault and error but as long as you persevere and do your research you’ll find a perfect balance. I personally don’t mind this though bcos it keeps my bettas active to the point where they’re not focused on each other or the other fish and makes sure that overcrowding doesn’t happen. One thing that might be considered controversial though is that since my guppies breed a lot and have produced offspring, my bettas have started to cull the baby guppies. That was 4 1/2 months ago and since then none of my fish have died due to stress or disease and are pretty healthy. That caused disease to outbreak and ended up killing 2 guppies and all the puffers. I had stupidly added 3 dwarf puffers not knowing anything the fish and my fish had ended up with cut up/ bit off tails and fins. Ended up adding 7 von rios and 4 red eyes. A month (feb 2022) goes by and i decided to add some tetras. But then itachi wano became alpha and put her in her place. Things were good for a few days but then they decided to have a purge and i ended up loosing Yuki, Shy gal, and Yin. Added all 8 in there with enough hiding spots for the smallest fish jinbei. A month later (jan 2022) after saving up enough money for a 39g tank i went out and bought 5 more (Yin, Nico Robin, Itachi Wano, Jinbei, and Yeat). So to over come that pain I bought 3 females (Shy gal, Yuki, and Koi Leray) and put them all in separate tanks. Randomly bought a male betta fish (jojo) for my birthday. They seem to be very shy and I don't see them too often. These crabs are super vibrant colored and my friends love to see them when they aren't hiding in their sand homes. Everyone has been getting along and appears to be happy. I have these living in a 75 gallon brackish tank with my mudskippers. I received 5x males which can cause a bit of stress for them since too many males in one habitat isn't great. I was hoping with ordering 5 that I would get a mix of males and females since there is no specifying what gender you get. The remaining 3 have been doing great for weeks. The second one died 4 days after arrival. One crab died the second day (maybe from stress or old age?). They all arrived alive and healthy, very carefully packaged.
